Srinagar: Chairman Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Muhammad Yasin Malik has again asked the people to stay away from panchayat polls.
Addressing a a gathering at Masjid Bilal, The Bund Srinagar today, Malik said that recent exemplary boycott of municipal elections by the people of Kashmir has frustrated the government which has ‘intensified oppression across Kashmir.’
He reiterated the JRL call of boycotting forthcoming panchayat elections.
Meanwhile JKLF activists today staged protests at Sarai-bala and Budshah Chowk against human rights violations.
A JKLF statement said that the activists gathered at Sarai-bala Srinagar and Maisuma and staged protest against ongoing ‘oppression across the valley’.
