While paying rich tributes to the deceased party leader, chairman said that the gap left with the death of Prof. Liaqat can’t be fulfilled as the party has today lost a dedicated and a true nationalist leader who represented Kashmir liberation struggle in his best capacity at diplomatic level for the last four decades.

Chairman said that Prof. Liaqat besides many other portfolios has held the post of Zonal Gen. Sec. and served the cause and the party to his best. Terming his death as his personal loss, Yasin Malik also prayed for his elder brother Showkat Ali Khan, who breathed his last on Monday this week in Kotli.

Prof. Liaqat left behind his widow, a son and two daughters. The nimaz-e-jinaza was offered this afternoon in a local mosque in North Watford, UK.
