The department has forecast light to moderate rain and snowfall over higher reaches at many places on November 12, particularly towards the evening and night. Some higher reaches of Kupwara, Bandipora and Ganderbal may receive moderate snowfall.

On November 13, light rain and snowfall are likely at a few places until the afternoon, followed by an improvement in weather conditions. November 14 is expected to remain partly cloudy, while November 15 may witness a brief spell of light rain and snowfall at scattered places.

Meanwhile, the MeT department has advised farmers to ensure safe storage of harvested crops.

It also cautioned that fresh snowfall over higher reaches could disrupt traffic on important mountain passes and hilly roads, advising travellers and transporters to plan their journeys accordingly and follow traffic advisories.
