The department participated in the two-day event alongside tourism departments from several states, including Gujarat and Telangana, and private tourism stakeholders.

The J&K Tourism pavilion attracted visitors, tour operators and travel agents from Maharashtra, with several hundred people reportedly visiting the stall to explore tourism opportunities and travel experiences in the Union Territory.

The J&K delegation, comprising Raja and Chief Executive Officer of the Surinsar-Mansar Development Authority Vivek Puri, also held meetings with tour operators and industry representatives from Maharashtra to explore opportunities for tourism promotion, travel partnerships and increased visitor arrivals.

The awards recognise Jammu and Kashmir’s offerings in adventure and nature-based tourism, as well as travel experiences centred on its natural landscapes.
