KPDCL announces power shutdowns in several districts

SRINAGAR: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns across several areas of Kashmir this month to facilitate maintenance works on various 33 kV transmission lines.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, power supply to Fethapora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Shairpathri, Kachan and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 8 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Alasteng-Nagbal (Gadoora Tapline).

Supply to Kokernag, Vailoo, Dandipora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 9 and September 14 owing to the shutdown of the 33 kV Lisser-Kokernag line.

Power supply to Budgam, Sabdan, Nasrullahpora, Jawalapora, Ompora, SIDCO Housing Colony, Railway Station Budgam, NIFT and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 10 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Budgam line.

On September 10 and September 14, power supply to Keller, Gatipora, Moshward, Maspora, Kathahalan, Kanipora, Ganowpora, Nadpora, Balapora, Drabgam, Shadimarg, Sangerwani, Dompora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Kanipora-Keller line.

The shutdown of the 33 kV Lisser-Hillar line will affect power supply to Hillar, Shankerpora, Larkipora, Aarkashipora and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm on September 12.

Similarly, power supply to Dooru, Verinag, Hillar, Chowgund and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 14 and September 17 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Lisser-Dooru line.

The shutdown of the 33 kV Mattan-Gopalpora line will affect power supply to Gopalpora, Kheribal, Kawarigam and adjoining areas from 8 am to 2 pm on September 15.

Power supply to Achabal, Shangus, Nowgam, Khundroo, Cherpora and adjoining areas will remain affected from 8 am to 2 pm on September 19 due to the shutdown of the 33 kV Mattan-Achabal line, KPDCL said.
