Srinagar: J&K BJP General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul on Thursday participated in two Tiranga rallies in Srinagar as part of the ongoing Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
According to the party, the first rally was held from The Grand Lalit Palace to Nishat, while the second proceeded from Polo View to Lal Chowk. Party leaders, youth activists and local residents participated in the events carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans.
Among those present were BJP vice-president Dr Shahnaz Ganai, secretaries Arif Raja and Mudasir Wani, Srinagar district president Sheikh Salman, and several office-bearers of the BJP Yuva Morcha.
Addressing the participants, Koul said the national flag symbolises the sacrifices and aspirations of the people and called upon citizens to actively participate in the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign.
He said the campaign has evolved into a mass movement encouraging people to hoist the Tricolour and celebrate national unity. Koul also urged citizens to display the national flag at their homes and workplaces ahead of Independence Day.
