Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Entrepreneurship Development Institute (JKEDI) on Saturday organised an interactive session for women entrepreneurs in Srinagar to promote innovation, strengthen entrepreneurial capabilities and facilitate engagement with industry experts.
The session, organised by JKEDI through its District Office Srinagar/CWE-K, was presided over by Shradha Sharma, CEO and Founder of YourStory and Bharat Project.
District Nodal Officer, JKEDI, Shabir Hussain Shah, officials of the Institute, faculty members from the Central University of Kashmir and the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar, besides aspiring and established women entrepreneurs from across the region, attended the programme.
Addressing the participants, Sharma highlighted the importance of mentorship, networking and strategic guidance in helping women-led startups grow and succeed. She also spoke about the expanding ecosystem of funding opportunities for innovative startups and encouraged women entrepreneurs to develop scalable and market-ready business ventures.
The session provided participants with insights into startup growth strategies, funding opportunities and building resilient business models. It also served as an interactive platform for women entrepreneurs to share their experiences, discuss challenges and seek expert guidance on strengthening their enterprises.
JKEDI said it will continue to organise such capacity-building programmes to promote innovation, encourage women entrepreneurship and strengthen the startup ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
