Officials said JPDCL adopted the scheme in 2025 and undertook the process of clearing pending cases after scrutinising each application to ensure transparency, fairness and compliance with the prescribed eligibility criteria. One eligible dependent from each family was appointed under the scheme.

JPDCL Managing Director said the appointments were made in accordance with government guidelines and reiterated the corporation’s commitment to implementing the scheme in a transparent and accountable manner.

The government has also directed that all eligible cases under the Rehabilitation Assistance Scheme be disposed of within a stipulated timeframe.
