Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Tuesday reviewed the functioning of the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Srinagar to assess preparedness for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra-2026.

During the visit, Garg inspected the surveillance and monitoring system, reviewed live feeds from yatra camps and routes, and assessed data compilation as well as the availability of department-wise information on essential services, logistics and supplies.

Interacting with officials deployed at the centre, the Divisional Commissioner stressed the need for round-the-clock monitoring, timely data compilation and prompt dissemination of information to ensure smooth conduct of the annual pilgrimage.

He said the ICCC plays a key role in coordinating the efforts of various departments and agencies involved in the yatra and enables authorities to respond quickly to weather-related situations and other contingencies through its surveillance network.

Describing the ICCC as the nerve centre of yatra monitoring, Garg said officials from different departments have been deployed at the facility to monitor CCTV cameras round the clock and ensure effective coordination and timely response.

He said weather updates issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) would be displayed on electronic screens installed along the yatra route and at base camps to provide pilgrims with real-time information.

The Divisional Commissioner also noted that Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha had recently reviewed the arrangements at the Baltal and Nunwan base camps as part of the overall preparations for the pilgrimage.

Appealing to pilgrims to make use of the available support system, Garg said the ICCC serves as a single-point contact for yatra-related information and assistance. He urged devotees to contact the toll-free helpline 01942740003 for information, assistance or to share feedback on facilities during the pilgrimage.
