Rahim Rather visits fire-hit Dara-ul-Uloom in Pakherpora

BUDGAM: Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Abdul Rahim Rather, on Monday visited the site of the recent fire incident at Dara-ul-Uloom, Pakherpora, to assess the damage and express solidarity with the affected students, staff and local residents.

During the visit, the Speaker expressed deep grief over the incident, which caused extensive damage to the educational institution. He interacted with students, the institution’s management and members of the local community, assuring them of all possible support for the restoration of the institute.

Rather emphasized the importance of Dara-ul-Uloom and assured the affected people that the institution would be re-established at the earliest. He said every effort would be made to ensure that educational activities resume without unnecessary delay.

The Speaker directed the district administration to undertake a comprehensive assessment of the damage caused by the fire and initiate the reconstruction process on a priority basis. He also urged the concerned authorities to expedite all required formalities to facilitate the early rebuilding of the institution.

Local residents and members of the institute’s management thanked the Speaker for visiting the site and appreciated his assurance regarding timely support and rehabilitation measures.
