SRINAGAR: The Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authority on Sunday expressed grief over the demise of Shakti Devi, mother of Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh and Executive Chairman of the J&K Legal Services Authority.
According to the authority, Shakti Devi passed away on June 20, 2026.
A condolence meeting was held at the office of the J&K Legal Services Authority in Srinagar, where officers and officials conveyed their heartfelt sympathies and deepest condolences to Justice Sanjeev Kumar and the bereaved family.
As a mark of respect, the participants observed a two-minute silence and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul.
They also prayed for strength, courage and fortitude for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
