DC Kulgam reviews arrangements for Kheer Bhawani Mela at Mata Tripur Sundari shrine

KULGAM: Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Shahzad Alam on Sunday visited Mata Tripur Sundari Temple to review arrangements for the annual Mata Kheer Bhawani Mela 2026.

During the visit, officials from various departments, including KPDCL, Jal Shakti, Municipal Committee, Health, Fire and Emergency Services, CAPD, Revenue and Police, briefed the Deputy Commissioner about the preparations made for the smooth conduct of the mela.

The DC directed all concerned departments to work in close coordination and ensure that adequate facilities are provided to devotees visiting the shrine. He instructed officers to put in place all necessary arrangements to facilitate the smooth and successful conduct of the celebrations.

Shahzad Alam also interacted with members of the shrine management committee and devotees, extending his greetings and best wishes on the occasion.

Among others, the visit was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Viqar Ahmed Giri, Tehsildar Devsar, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Devsar, SHO Devsar, Block Development Officer and other officials.
