Paying homage, Sat Sharma described Brigadier Rajinder Singh Jamwal as the “Saviour of Jammu and Kashmir,” saying his courage, patriotism and sacrifice played a decisive role in safeguarding the territorial integrity of the erstwhile princely state during the tribal invasion of 1947.

He said Brigadier Rajinder Singh’s life and sacrifice continue to inspire generations and stressed the need to educate young people about his contribution to the defence of Jammu and Kashmir.

Sharma said remembering national heroes is a collective responsibility and helps preserve the values of patriotism, courage and selfless service that they embodied.

Speaking on the occasion, Baldev Singh Billawaria said Brigadier Rajinder Singh Jamwal’s legacy teaches citizens to place national interest above personal considerations and remain committed to the service of the nation.

District President Rajesh Gupta said the nation would always remain indebted to the brave officer, adding that his sacrifice occupies a place of honour in India’s history and continues to inspire efforts towards national unity and integrity.
