DC Ramban reviews SANJY-2026 arrangements at Lamber Yatra Camp

Ramban: Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan on Sunday inspected Yatra Camp Lamber to review preparations for the forthcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026).

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner assessed the progress of ongoing works and reviewed arrangements being made for accommodation, sanitation, drinking water supply, power availability, healthcare facilities, road connectivity and other essential amenities for pilgrims.

He directed the Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department to expedite infrastructure works and ensure their completion within the prescribed timelines.

The Deputy Commissioner also instructed officers of the Jal Shakti Department, Health Department, Rural Development Department and Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL) to work in close coordination and complete all assigned works well before the commencement of the pilgrimage.

Emphasising the importance of efficient service delivery, Mohammad Alyas Khan stressed the need to maintain high standards of cleanliness, ensure uninterrupted utility services and provide adequate healthcare facilities for devotees.

He also reviewed department-wise progress on the spot and directed all concerned officers to remain proactive and ensure that every required facility is put in place in a time-bound manner.

The inspection was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Banihal Mohammed Naseeb Bajraan along with officers and officials from various departments.
