Sakeena Itoo visits SMHS Hospital, enquires about condition of injured Budgam students

Srinagar: Minister for Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education Sakeena Itoo on Saturday visited SMHS Hospital to enquire about the health condition of two schoolgirls injured in a road accident at Negoo Brenwar in Budgam district.

The Minister reached the hospital in the early hours of the day and met the injured students who are undergoing treatment. She interacted with the children and their attendants and reviewed the medical care being provided to them.

Expressing concern over the incident, Itoo conveyed her sympathies to the affected families and assured them that the government is closely monitoring the situation.

“The government stands with the affected families in this difficult hour. No effort will be spared for the speedy recovery of the children,” she said.

The Minister also held discussions with attending doctors and hospital authorities and directed them to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the injured students without any inconvenience.

She emphasised that all necessary medical facilities and specialised treatment should be made available to ensure the speedy recovery and well-being of the children.
