SRINAGAR: Minister for Agriculture Production, Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, Cooperative and Election Department, Javid Ahmad Dar, today inaugurated District Kisan Mela at Srinagar.
Addressing the farmers, agri-entrepreneurs and officials, the Minister said that such events serve as important platforms for direct interaction, knowledge sharing and dissemination of modern agricultural practices. He emphasised the need for adopting advanced technologies, promoting agri-mechanization and ensuring timely financial support to enhance productivity and increase farmers’ income.
On the occasion, Javid Dar handed over financial assistance sanction letters and distributed agri-mechanisation equipment among the beneficiaries, aimed at easing labour constraints and improving efficiency in farming operations.
