Srinagar: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) on Tuesday hosted a high-level interaction with the OCP Foundation, Morocco, and ISAP India Foundation to explore collaborations in sustainable agriculture, research, and international knowledge exchange.
The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Prof. Nazir Ahmad Ganai and attended by a delegation from OCP Foundation led by Director Hassina Moukhariq, along with ISAP India Foundation representatives headed by Chief Operating Officer Gaurav Vats.
Deliberations focused on introducing innovative and sustainable agricultural inputs to improve soil health, promoting research and development, strengthening rural monitoring, and leveraging institutional expertise to benefit farmers in India, Morocco, and other African countries.
A key highlight of the interaction was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Rural Business Incubation Centre (RBIC), SKUAST-K, and ISAP India Foundation. The partnership aims to strengthen field linkages, identify real-world challenges for startups and Farmer-Producer Organisations (FPOs), and combine RBIC’s incubation capabilities with ISAP’s grassroots outreach.
