A spokesperson of the department said the items would be available at highly affordable rates, as pricing has been calculated only on the material cost.

“No labour charges have been added, ensuring cost-to-cost availability of authentic handmade products for buyers while also providing trainees a platform to display their skills,” the spokesperson said.

He added that the previous three trainee exhibitions generated a cumulative revenue of ₹57 lakh, reflecting strong public response and demand for Kashmiri handmade crafts.

Officials expect encouraging sales during the current exhibition, with particular interest likely in Pashmina, crewel, papier mâché and willow wicker products.
