J&K BJP Secretary Mudasir Wani, party spokespersons Altaf Thakur and Manzoor Bhat, Office Secretary Salinder Singh, Media In-charge Sajid Yousuf Shah, All Cells Co-Convenor Bilal Parray, Social-Media Co-Incharge Sajad Raina, senior party leaders, state office bearers, district presidents, Prabharis, and programme convenors and co-convenors from across the districts were present at the workshop.

Addressing the workshop, Ashok Koul said that the VB-GRAM G Act, 2025, is a landmark initiative under the vision of Viksit Bharat, designed to ensure guaranteed employment opportunities for 125 days—25 days more than the earlier 100 days—along with skill development and sustainable livelihoods in rural areas. He emphasised that the Act integrates employment generation with self-reliance by strengthening traditional occupations, promoting agri-based enterprises, rural entrepreneurship, women’s Self-Help Groups, and youth-led initiatives at the village level with a modern-day vision and technology.

Ashok Koul reiterated the Modi government’s firm commitment to inclusive rural development, asserting that the VB-GRAM G Act will play a pivotal role in strengthening employment security, boosting rural prosperity, and realising the vision of Viksit Bharat in Jammu & Kashmir. He added that the workshop aimed at equipping party functionaries with an in-depth understanding of the Act so that they can actively spread awareness among beneficiaries.

Highlighting the significance of the legislation, Anwar Khan said that VB-GRAM G is not merely a welfare scheme but a structured development framework aimed at transforming rural socio-economic conditions. He stated that the Act ensures transparency, accountability, and convergence of existing rural development schemes, while empowering Panchayati Raj Institutions and community-based organisations.
