Srinagar:  Amid Scorching weather conditions, Education minister Sakina Itoo on Thursday announced that there would be change in school timings from ensuing Monday.

Talking to reporters Itoo however didn’t mentioned the exact timing and said that same would be communicated in an official order which is being issued in this regard.

” We have recieved number of calls from parents regarding change in school timing. We have decided change the timing from Monday and it would be a early morning shift,” Itoo said.

She also endorsed suggestion that morning assembly should be held under shadow or inside a big hall wherever available.

From last few weeks there has been increase in day temperature and as per weather department the heatwave conditions likely to continue.(GNS)
