Governor meets Civil Services qualifiers

SRINAGAR, JUNE 21: At a Reception hosted by them at the Raj Bhavan Governor N.N. Vohra and Usha Vohra met the 2017-18 Civil Services qualifiers, along with a number of young IAS and IPS officers who are already serving in the Valley.

Among this year’s successful candidates who attended the Reception included Fazlul Haseeb, Rahul Bhat, Abishek Sharma, Akshay Labroo, Amir Bashir, Shashank Bhaderwaj and Vivek Bhagat.

Among the young IAS and IPS officers, already serving in the State, were Dr. Syed Abid Rasheed Shah, Dr. Syed Sehrish Asgar, Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat; Daifode Sagar Dattatray; Santosh Gunwantrao Sukhadeve, Imtiyaz Ismail Parray and P.D. Nitya.

Governor and First Lady complimented the successful qualifiers for their hard work and congratulated them on their prestigious entry into the various All India and Central Services.

Governor advised all the young men and women entrants to the Services to work, from the very first day, with honesty, dedication and sensitivity for advancing the welfare of the people they are called upon to serve. He advised them to fully acquaint themselves with the varied problems they would be required to handle on the completion of their training courses and wished all of them bright careers ahead.

Governor advised the serving IAS and IPS officers to be sensitive to the needs of the people and try to address their issues on a time bound basis. He also advised enhanced civil- police interaction for better understanding and effective and time bound redressal of the issues facing the common man.
