At its heart, the Kupwara Police Cricket League serves an elevated purpose – honoring the courageous Police Martyrs of the district while channeling the vibrant energy of the youth into constructive athletic pursuits, steering them clear of the clutches of narcotics and substance abuse.

The league has drawn significant participation, boasting 16 premier teams from across the valley converging for this grand sporting spectacle. A demanding itinerary of 31 matches will scrutinize the mettle and teamwork of these teams, showcasing their cricketing prowess on the grand stage.

Emerging victorious in the tournament not only brings home a coveted cash prize of Rupees 1.5 lakh but also secures the prestigious championship trophy. The runners-up, on the other hand, will be rewarded with Rupees 75,000 and a trophy of their own. Players are also poised to compete for a range of esteemed awards awaiting them.

The inaugural clash pitting SKCC Galoora against the Coaching Centre Cricket Club Kupwara electrified the atmosphere, generating tangible excitement. A spirited audience, drawn from both the district and beyond, united to witness the unfolding of this monumental event.
