JKPs ladies contingent stood first in parade, PPS gets 3rd position among schools

Srinagar: On the occasion of the colorful 77th Independence Day Parade at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar here today, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s contingents in different categories brought honor to the organization by securing different positions in all categories.

JKPs Pipe Band and Brass Band secured the top two positions in the bands’ category while the BSFs band got 3rd position. Similarly in the March past category Jammu & Kashmir Ladies Police contingent was declared the best marching contingent among others while BSF & CRPF secured the 2nd and 3rd position respectively.

Participants in the School category, a contingent from Police Public School, Bemina bagged 3rd position in March past while its band received a consolation prize.

The Director General of Police J&K, Dilbag Singh congratulated all the winning contingents. He said it’s always joyful to watch performances of Pipe Band and Brass Band teams. He congratulated the ladies’ contingents & contingents from PPS who secured positions in General Parade. He also complimented other contingents of JKP who participated in the Parade and said winning and losing don’t matter, what matters is effort & hard work to do your best.

Jammu and Kashmir Police Pipe Band was led by Head Constable Mohd Yaqoob while Brass Band was led by SI Mushtaq Ahmad. J&K Police ladies contingent was Commanded by DySP Mamta Sharma.
