Srinagar: A woman’s body was fished out of Jhelum river in Rajbagh area of Srinagar on Tuesday, reports said.
They said that the body was seen floating on the river by some locals who informed the police.
The body was retrieved from the river and taken to a hospital for medico-legal formalities.
Some reports said that the woman, whose identity is not being revealed, had jumped into the river.
