Sopore: People in Tarzoo Village of Sopore remain in the grip of fear over what is suspected to be a leopard on the loose.
The first incident was reported yesterday when the remains of a dog were left behind by an unidentified creature that attacked it.
Previously, a jackal had attacked five individuals in the apple orchards of Tarzoo. Now, the presence of a leopard has sparked fear among the villagers.
According to the villagers, Riyaz Ahmad Bhat, an employee of the Wildlife Department, confirmed the presence of footprints resembling a leopard.
They have urged the Department of Wildlife to launch a search operation to trap the suspected leopard, which has created panic in Tarzoo village .
