DG E&S reviews projects taken under ABDP

BANDIPORA: As part of the Jan Abhiyan programme, Director General Evaluation & Statistics, Athar Qadri, today visited Bandipora District to take a first-hand review of Developmental initiatives taken up under the Aspirational Block Developmental Programme (ABDP).

At the outset, he took review of many development sectors in a meeting with concerned departments.

Works undertaken by Health, Education, R&B, RDD, Sheep Husbandry, and other departments were reviewed at the New VC room of the Mini Secretariat Bandipora.

Joint Director Planning Bandipora, Imtiyaz Ahmad intimated that 11 works of Block Arin and 4 works of Tulail Block have been timely estimated, Administrative approval accorded, and tendered out. As such all 15 works are allotted and under execution in both blocks. So far three works have been completed and the rest is expected to be completed in two months’ time.

While reviewing the schemes, the Director General asked Officers to stick to timelines set by the District Administration. He further stressed the fact that Tulail block has received early snowfall; as a proper strategy should be made to have targets achieved.

The DG said that department-wise development works are to be completed as part of Jan Abhiyan and stressed achieving the set goals. He directed officers to submit the report on development works besides emphasized departments to ensure close monitoring and follow-up for cent per cent completion of projects within the stipulated time.

The visiting officer appreciated the Officers for saturating deliverables of data on the portal on the very first day of Jan Abhiyan.

The officer later inaugurated two projects in presence of DDC Member Arin, Gh Mohidin viz. upgradation of infrastructure at PHC Chuntimullah and Artificial insemination innovation of Sheep Husbandry at Kunan.

The officer later sensitized PRIs at Arin Block HQ about the importance of the ABDP programme.

The visiting officer was accompanied by District Programme Officer Bandipora Mohd Ashraf Hakak, CMO, CEO, CAO, CAHO, LDM, Ex. Engineers of PDD and R&B besides District Sheep Husbandry Officer Bandipora.
