J&K Admin announces naming of Schools, collages, roads

Srinagar: As the administration of UT J&K has announced the naming of 199 schools/colleges and roads by the names of eminent personalities and martyred Heroes in Uniform as a mark of respect and acknowledgement of the exceptional contributions towards the security and development of the Union Territory,132 Schools/colleges and roads across UT have been named after the martyrs of JK police Pariwar.

As per the order 02 schools have been named after martyred DySsP, 01 after martyred Inspector, 08 after martyred SIs, 04 after martyred ASIs, 07 after martyred HC, 21 after martyred SgCts, 47 after martyred constables, 03 after martyred followers, and 41 after martyred SPOs who laid down their lives while protecting and safeguarding the interests of the people.

The Director General of Police, J&K, Dilbag Singh has extended his gratitude to Government of India, Governor Jammu & Kashmir  Manoj Sinha and his adminstration for naming the government schools/colleges and roads in Jammu and Kashmir after the martyred J&K police personnel and SF personnel.

The DGP said that it is a wonderful initiative by the government which would serve as the morale booster for the forces fighting terrorism here. He said that by this initiative the school children would learn about the supreme sacrifices of the martyrs. He said that it would immortalise the brave hearts who sacrificed their lives while protecting sovereignty and integrity of the Nation. He said that initiative would give some special feeling to the family members of the martyrs and would act as everlasting tribute for the martyrs.

Worth to mention here that Government of Jammu and Kashmir has issued an order renaming 199 government schools across Jammu and Kashmir after the martyrs and eminent personalities.
