Handwara: A 17-year old boy is feared dead after he fell intoa pond in Bowan village of Rajwara area of Kupwara district on Sunday afternoon.
DO Zachaldara confirmed the incident to KNS and said that the boy fell into the pond while taking a bath.
He said that a police team alongwith locals has launched a rescue operation to trace the boy.
The boy has been identified as Altaf Ahmed (17) son of Mohammad Shafi of Bowan area of Rajwara.
