Bandipora admin bid tearful adieu to deceased colleague

BANDIPORA: District Administration Bandipora today bid a tearful adieu to its senior colleague who died while on duty in Gurez valley on Friday afternoon.

Abdul Saleem Darzi, Block Development Officer (BDO) posted at Tulail had suffered a massive cardiac arrest while he was on duty.

Meanwhile, Dr Owais expressed heartfelt condolences over the sad demise of the officer and recalled him as an upright and dedicated officer who performed his duties religiously even in the remotest hamlet of the district. “We express our heartfelt condolences to the family of our esteemed colleague who passed away in line of duty. His sudden death has come as shock to all of us,” he said.

Earlier at Gurez, the scene was no different as amid the highly charged atmosphere, the body of the deceased officer was taken to Helipad. All the officers had assembled at the helipad to bid a final good bye to their colleague.
