Srinagar: Continuing its efforts to eradicate menace of drugs from the society, police in Budgam have arrested a hardcore drug peddler and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from his residential house, said a police spokesman.
“Police Station Chadoora received a specific input about drug peddling in a residential house of Abdul Quyoom son of Satar Bhat resident of Qazipora Chadoora. Acting on this information, a police party from PS Chadoora raided the house and during search of the residential house, officers were able to recover 310Kgs of Fukki Powder,” the spokesman said.
“During the course of investigation, the accused person identified as Abdul Quyoom involved in the commission of crime has been arrested and shifted to police station where he remains in custody,” he said.
“Accordingly, a case vide FIR No. 05/2021 under relevant sections of law stands registered in Police Station Chadoora and further investigation has been initiated,” he added.
