DC Anantnag inaugurates Zilla Sainik Welfare Office

ANANTNAG :  Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, K.K. Siddha today inaugurated the newly established Zilla Sainik Welfare office here.

The DDC who was also the Chief Guest on the occasion congratulated the armed forces veterans, NOKs of martyrs and war widows for establishment of the facility in the district.

He while praising the   role of Armed Forces, said that the sacrifices made by Armed Forces are invaluable, unparalleled and assured that the district administration will undertake all necessary steps for effective resolution of issues faced by the ex servicemen and their families.

Meanwhile, in a first of its kind, a grievance redressal camp for the Ex Servicemen and NoKs of martyrs from the Armed Forces was also organised at the sidelines of the inaugural function.

The DDC on spot heard grievances and necessary directions were issued to the concerned for immediate action.

For smooth functioning of the Zilla Sainik Welfare Office, power back up facility was also provided by the Deputy Commissioner.

Among other officials, Assistant Commissioner Revenue was also present on the occasion.
