Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman, Muhammad Yasin Malik, while paying tributes to late Dr Abdul Ahad Guru, said it is naïve to relate Kashmiri struggle for freedom with unemployment and lack of education.
A JKLF spokesman, in a statement issued here said that while recalling the struggle and sacrifices of Dr Guru said he was an exceptional personality who not only left his mark over medical, political and religious fronts but worked relentlessly on social fronts through his philanthropic works.
“More than two decades after his martyrdom, Kashmir is yet to produce any one like him,” the spokesman quoted Malik as saying.
“The best part of doctor sahib’s life is that he without caring about his status and position, joined freedom struggle along with other JKLF members. He not only actively worked on the internal front of the movement but was very active on external diplomatic front also,” the statement quoted Malik sayin.
Meanwhile, on the occasion, a blood donation camp was organized at Abi Guzar Srinagar under the banner of Hameed Blood Bank. JKLF chairman Muhammad Yasin Malik himself looked after the camp in which scores of JKLF leaders, activists, well-wishers including some women and students participated and donated their blood for the well-being of humanity. Blood camp started at 10:30 a.m. and ended at 2 p.m.
