Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today urged the JK Govt to issue movement passes to Migrant Labourers, besides allowing the stranded Kashmiris to leave Jammu for Srinagar.

Senior Congress Leaders and Ex. Legislators Mohammad Amin Bhat and Gulzar Ahmad Wani have expressed serious concern over the delay in issuing movement passes to Migrant Labourers, who are stranded at different places in entire Kashmir valley due to the lockdown.

They also expressed surprise over the delay in facilitating return of Kashmiri students, Labourers who are stranded in Jammu and urged the JK Govt to allow them to return to their respective places in Kashmir keeping view the upcoming occasion of Shab-e-Qader and Eid-ul-Fitr.

They said dozens of Stranded Migrant Labourers have booked their train tickets in coming days from Jammu and they need to be issued movement passes at the earliest, enabling them to board the train at appropriate time, they said.

Both Mohd Amin Bhat and Gulzar Ahmad Wani laid emphasis over the allowing hassle free movement of Migrant Labourers from Kashmir, similarly the stranded Kashmiri Laboures and students be facilitated to return to Kashmir from Jammu, they urged the Govt.

JK Govt must instruct the officials to speed-up the work and attach more importance to the issue of Migrant Labourers inorder to ensure that they get movement passes without any further delay, as that, they are desperate enough to reach their respective places, they added.
