SRINAGAR: Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC) installed and made operational a decontamination tunnel at JawaharLal Nehru Memorial (JLNM) hospital at Rainawari, here tody.
The tunnel was installed at the entry points of the hospital building to ensure persons visiting hospital including doctors, hospital workers, patients and other attendants get sanitized instantly while entering or leaving the hospital premises.
Deputy Mayor, Parvaiz Ahmed Qadri said that SMC is installing such tunnels at various hospitals and so far tunnels have been installed each at CD hospital, LD hospital, GB Panth and JVC. Besides, two tunnels have been installed at SMHS and two at SKIMS for decontamination and sanitization.
He further said that the sanitization of hospitals by the corporation is a regular affair to contain spread of COVID.
