JAMMU: Dr Vikas Kundal on Thursday assumed charge as Divisional Commissioner Jammu during a formal handover ceremony held at the Divisional Commissioner’s Office here.
Outgoing Divisional Commissioner Ramesh Kumar handed over charge to Dr Kundal in the presence of senior officers and officials, according to an official statement.
A farewell function was also organised for Ramesh Kumar, during which officers and officials acknowledged his tenure and extended their best wishes for his new assignment.
Addressing the gathering, Kumar thanked officers and staff for their cooperation during his tenure and said their support had helped in the discharge of administrative responsibilities across the division.
He welcomed Dr Kundal and expressed confidence in his ability to lead the administration, citing his earlier professional association with him. Kumar also urged officers and officials to extend the same support to the new Divisional Commissioner.
Officials of the Divisional Commissioner’s Office welcomed Dr Kundal and wished Kumar success in his future assignment, the statement said.
