BARAMULLA: Commissioner Survey and Land Records, Jammu and Kashmir, Inder Jeet on Wednesday reviewed the progress of key land and agriculture-related digital initiatives in Baramulla district and directed officials to complete the AgriStack initiation process within 10 days.
At a review meeting held in Baramulla, the Commissioner assessed progress under the Digital Crop Survey, AgriStack, farmer registration and disposal of backlog mutations.
Officials informed the meeting that 4,53,975 plots had been covered under the Digital Crop Survey, achieving 98.6 per cent progress, while 22,787 plots remained unsurveyed.
Under AgriStack, 5,48,012 of the 6,95,975 Jamabandi entries have been approved, accounting for 78.7 per cent progress. The initiation process has reached 85.4 per cent, and tehsil-wise performance was also reviewed.
The meeting was informed that 9,944 farmer registrations have been completed so far. Of these, 3,080 registrations have been approved, while 5,570 are pending verification and 1,294 await approval.
Reviewing mutation cases, officials said that 46,282 of the 46,905 backlog mutations have been approved, achieving 98.7 per cent progress, with 623 cases still pending.
The Commissioner directed revenue officials to expedite disposal of pending cases, particularly farmer registration verifications, AgriStack entries and mutation approvals, and stressed the need for close monitoring at the tehsil level.
He also directed that the AgriStack initiation process be completed within 10 days and called for strict supervision to ensure timely implementation.
During the meeting, Inder Jeet instructed officials to ensure that Parti Sarkar land is reflected in all applicable mutation records to improve transparency and accuracy in land records.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore S.A. Raina, Assistant Commissioner Revenue Baramulla Arshad Ahmad Khan, Tehsildars and other concerned officials attended the meeting.
