SRINAGAR: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Friday forecast generally dry weather across Jammu and Kashmir till October 5, with light rain and snowfall over higher reaches expected from October 6 onwards.
According to the forecast, weather conditions are likely to remain generally dry from October 2 to 5.
From October 6 to 8, the region is expected to witness partly to generally cloudy weather, accompanied by light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds at a few places.
The MeT department has predicted a further deterioration in weather conditions from October 9 to 10, with generally cloudy skies and light to moderate rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds at scattered to many places across Jammu and Kashmir.
Thereafter, from October 11 to 14, the weather is expected to remain partly cloudy.
The Meteorological Centre has advised farmers to continue harvesting apple and paddy crops and carry out other agricultural operations during the prevailing dry spell.
