SRINAGAR: Jamkash Vehicleades (Kashmir) Pvt. Ltd. on Friday relaunched the Maruti Suzuki Eeco Cargo in Kashmir, positioning the vehicle as a transport option for small businesses and self-employed entrepreneurs.
The vehicle was unveiled at an event attended by Senior Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Ajaz Ahmad Bhat, along with Jamkash Vehicleades Chief Operating Officer Dr Amber Ahmed, Chief General Manager A.R. Bhat and other company officials.
Speaking at the event, Bhat said the Eeco Cargo could be useful for unemployed youth and aspiring entrepreneurs by providing a means to transport goods and manage business operations.
Dr Ahmed said the vehicle is aimed primarily at individuals seeking to start businesses and generate livelihoods through commercial activities.
She said unemployed youth could also explore financial assistance available under the Mission YUVA scheme, which provides support of up to ₹1 lakh, and use it to acquire commercial vehicles for businesses such as distribution of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), hosiery, confectionery, books and other products.
According to the company, the relaunch is intended to provide a mobility solution for small businesses and support self-employment opportunities in Kashmir.
