UDHAMPUR: Chief of Air Staff Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh on Wednesday visited the Northern Command theatre and reviewed the prevailing operational environment and preparedness in the region.
According to a Defence Ministry statement, the Air Chief was briefed by Northern Command chief Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma at the headquarters of the command in Udhampur on key operational issues and ongoing inter-service coordination initiatives.
The briefing focused on operational dynamics in the theatre and efforts to enhance synergy between the Army and the Indian Air Force for the conduct of multi-domain operations, the statement said.
During the visit, Air Chief Marshal Singh expressed confidence in the operational capabilities of the armed forces and highlighted the coordination between the Western Air Command and Northern Command at strategic and tactical levels.
He also commended personnel for their commitment to safeguarding national interests, according to the statement.
