Srinagar: The Indian Army on Thursday organised an inter-Government Degree College skit competition at Government Degree College, Bohipora, Kupwara, providing a platform for students to showcase their creativity and share their perspectives on the region’s development.
The competition was held on the theme “Developing Kashmir” and witnessed participation from students who presented thought-provoking skits highlighting various aspects of development and social progress.
Through their performances, participants addressed a range of issues, including healthcare, public health awareness, drug abuse prevention, infrastructure development, education and skill development, employment and entrepreneurship, agriculture and allied sectors, tourism, and environmental conservation.
Army officials said the event aimed to encourage constructive engagement among youth and provide opportunities for them to express their ideas, aspirations and vision for the future of the region.
Trophies, cash prizes and certificates were awarded to outstanding participants and teams in recognition of their performances.
The Indian Army said the initiative forms part of its ongoing outreach efforts to engage with youth and create meaningful platforms for talent, creativity and positive expression. Such programmes, it said, help encourage constructive dialogue and enable young people to articulate their aspirations and dreams.
