As part of the event, solar lights were distributed among families living in dhoks (seasonal shelters) to facilitate study and other household activities, officials said.

Awareness sessions were also held on various government welfare schemes aimed at improving access to healthcare, education and social welfare benefits.

According to officials, the outreach programme was attended by more than 200 residents from Bandibala and adjoining areas. The event also served as a platform for interaction between Army personnel and local residents.

The Army said such initiatives are aimed at community engagement and supporting development-related activities in remote areas while strengthening ties with local communities.
