KISHTWAR: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Kumar Choudhary on Monday visited Machail in Paddar subdivision of Kishtwar district and reviewed the progress of ongoing development works in the area.
During the first day of his two-day visit to the district, Choudhary paid obeisance at the Shri Machail Mata Ji Temple and laid the foundation stone for a Public Works Department (PWD) guest house near the Shri Machail Mata Ji Bhawan.
Officials said the guest house will be constructed at an estimated cost of ₹3.75 crore.
The proposed facility is intended to strengthen accommodation infrastructure at the pilgrimage destination and cater to the needs of visitors and officials in the area.
The Deputy Chief Minister also reviewed development activities underway in Machail and interacted with officials regarding the implementation of ongoing projects.
