SRINAGAR: Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station Bijbehara, Majid Ahmad Khan, sustained injuries after being hit by a vehicle while on duty in Anantnag district on Sunday evening, officials said.
According to officials, the accident occurred near the Police Station Bijbehara area when a vehicle allegedly struck the officer during the course of his duty.
The injured officer was immediately shifted to Sub-District Hospital, Bijbehara, for initial treatment. After receiving first aid, he was referred to Bone and Joint Hospital, Srinagar, for specialised medical care.
Officials said the vehicle involved in the accident has been identified as an Alto K10 bearing registration number JK16A-3739.
