Srinagar: Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Anshul Garg on Wednesday chaired a meeting to review and address issues related to the Medicity project in Srinagar, with a focus on land demarcation and right-of-way requirements.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo, officials from the Srinagar Development Authority (SDA), Roads and Buildings Department, SIDCO, Industries and Commerce Department and Project Coordinator Sajad Nazir Shah.
According to officials, discussions centred on the demarcation of land allocated for the Medicity project and the proposed 15-metre right of way and buffer area between the new Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh High Court complex and the Medicity site.
Taking note of the issues raised by departments and the executing agency, Garg directed officials to conduct a joint inspection of the site to resolve the matter of land demarcation.
He also instructed that revenue officials from the concerned departments be associated with the exercise to ensure that the land is demarcated in accordance with the approved 2021 plan.
The Divisional Commissioner emphasised the need to ensure the required right of way for the project so that its implementation proceeds without delays.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar Akshay Labroo assured support in resolving the issues at the earliest.
Earlier, the project coordinator briefed the meeting on the approved Medicity plan and matters related to the proposed right of way.
