BARAMULLA: District Youth Officer (DYO) Baramulla Jan Singh Patel on Thursday urged young people to actively participate in the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD), saying youth must play a central role in India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047.
Addressing a press conference here, Patel highlighted the objectives of the VBYLD programme being organised under the Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) initiative and called on youth across the district to use the platform to share ideas, aspirations and innovative solutions for the country’s future.
He said the initiative aims to provide young people with a national platform to discuss issues of national importance, exchange views, showcase their talents and participate in activities related to nation-building.
“The youth are not merely the future of the country; they are important stakeholders in its present development journey,” Patel said, stressing the need to involve young citizens in shaping India’s progress.
According to the District Youth Officer, the programme seeks to promote leadership, creativity, innovation and social responsibility among young people by connecting them with broader national goals.
He said the platform offers youth an opportunity to take their ideas beyond classrooms and local communities and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.
Patel appealed to educational institutions, youth organisations and other stakeholders to support wider participation in MY Bharat and VBYLD activities so that more young people can benefit from the initiative.
He also sought the cooperation of the media in creating awareness about the programme and encouraging youth engagement across the district.
The DYO said the vision of a developed India by 2047 would require active participation from the present generation of young people through innovation, leadership and public service.
