JAMMU: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) General Secretary (Organisation) Ashok Koul on Thursday called upon the party’s Yuva Morcha to intensify its grassroots engagement and strengthen its connect with young people across Jammu and Kashmir.
Koul made the remarks while chairing the monthly meeting of the BJP Jammu and Kashmir Yuva Morcha state team at the party headquarters in Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
According to a party statement, he stressed the need for sustained interaction with youth and said their aspirations, energy and ideas were important for the development of Jammu and Kashmir. He urged Yuva Morcha leaders to expand their outreach among students, first-time voters, young professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs and encourage their participation in party programmes.
Koul said organisational strength depends on continuous public engagement and directed party workers to remain in regular contact with young people at the booth and constituency levels.
The meeting reviewed the functioning of the Yuva Morcha and discussed its role in forthcoming party programmes and organisational activities. Koul also emphasised the importance of teamwork, coordination and greater participation of youth workers in party initiatives.
Yuva Morcha president Arun Prabhat said the organisation would further strengthen its outreach efforts and work to ensure greater participation of young workers in upcoming programmes.
Yuva Morcha general secretaries Anant Khajuria and Ranjit Singh, along with other members of the state team, attended the meeting.
