Srinagar: The State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) carried out multiple rescue and search operations across Jammu and Kashmir on Sunday.
Officials said an SDRF team, in coordination with the Army, Police and local swimmers, rescued three persons who were trapped in the Chenab River at Chandi Ghar in Akhnoor.
In Ramban, SDRF personnel responded to a truck accident near Khooni Nallah, where the driver was found safe.
The teams also remained deployed for Amarnath Yatra-related duties in Mandi area of Poonch district.
Meanwhile, at Bunjwah in Kishtwar district, SDRF continued its search operation for a missing woman for the second consecutive day, but no trace of her was found due to strong water currents.
In another incident, SDRF launched a search and rescue operation at Fatehpora in Ganderbal district after reports that a nine-year-old boy had drowned in Nallah Sindh. (GNS)
