KANGAN: An 18-year-old youth drowned in Nallah Sindh near Kangan in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district while taking a bath on Friday, officials said.
An official said the youth drowned near Dumping Park in the Kijpara area of Kangan.
Following the incident, police, SDRF personnel and local residents launched a search operation to trace him.
The deceased was identified as Danish, a resident of Rangpora Soura in Srinagar.
Police have initiated an investigation into the incident. (KNO)
