Bandipora: District Bandipora won the three-day Inter-District Provincial-Level U-17 Girls’ Kabaddi Competition, which concluded at Government Higher Secondary School, Nadihal, on Saturday.
Anantnag finished runners-up, while Ganderbal secured third place in the tournament organised by the District Youth Services and Sports, Bandipora.
The final day featured closely contested matches, with players from various districts displaying skill, teamwork and determination. The competition provided participants exposure at the provincial level and promoted sportsmanship among young athletes.
The District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Bandipora, presented the winner’s trophy to the host district team and congratulated the players, coaches and officials for the successful conduct of the event.
Officials said the tournament reflected ongoing efforts to promote sports among girls and provide opportunities for young athletes to compete at higher levels. They also appreciated all participating teams and support staff for contributing to the successful completion of the event.
