KPDCL announces power shutdowns across Kashmir

New power curtailment schedule announced amid heat wave in Jammu

Srinagar: The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has announced scheduled power shutdowns on several 33 kV lines from August 12 to 27, affecting supply to various areas across Kashmir.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the 33 kV Awantipora-Tral-I line, excluding the 33 kV Dadsara Tapline, and the 33 kV Awantipora-Tral-II line will remain shut from 9 am to 2 pm on August 12, affecting Tral-i-Payeen, Tral-i-Bala, Chewa, Lurgam, Gulabagh, Aripal and adjoining areas.

The 33 kV Cheshmashahi-Brein Nishat line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 13, affecting Brein, Tulip Garden, Pahloo, Taj Vivanta, Exchange Colony, Nishat, Handampora, Pathanbagh, Filtration Plant and adjoining areas. The 33 kV Wanganpora-Takanwari line will also remain shut during the same hours, affecting Sangam, Shanglipora and adjoining areas.

The 33 kV LJHP Uri line will remain shut from 11:30 am to 3 pm on August 13, affecting Salamabad, NHPC, MES Uri, TFC Uri, Gharkote, Bandi, Mohura, Rampur, Bijhama and adjoining areas.

The 33 kV Lassipora-Pulwama, Lassipora-Pulwama (B), Lassipora-SIDCO, Lassipora-Landoora, Lassipora-Mitrigam Keegam and Lassipora-Lassipora lines will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 16 and 19. The shutdown will affect Pulwama, Babhar, Pinglena, Tenghar, Koil, Gangoo, IGC Lassipora, Landoora, Chakoora, Mantribugh, Hermain, Hajipora, Keegam, Murran, Rahmoo, Pakherpora, Mitrigam, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Chararipora, Kamrazipora, Arihal, Ahgam, Achan, Lassipora, Odoora and adjoining areas.

The 33 kV Kanipora-Batpora line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 16, affecting Shopian town, Gagren, Batapora, DC Office and adjoining areas.

The 33 kV KP Bagh line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 17, 22 and 27, affecting KP Bagh, Soiteng PHE, Mehjoornagar, Jawaharnagar, Kursoo Rajbagh, Zero Bridge, Gogjibagh, Lalmandi and adjoining areas.

The 33 kV Soura-SKIMS line will remain shut from 8 am to 2 pm on August 18, affecting Upper Soura, 90 Feet, Nowshera, Bohlachpora and adjoining areas.
